Chinese manufacturer of electric vehicles Xpeng will hold the annual Xpeng Tech Day — an event at which it will present a roadmap for the development of its technologies. The company accompanied the announcement on social networks with the publication of two new pictures of the minivan Xpeng X9

Xpeng product line already includes five electric cars, but there are no minivans among them. The novelty with the X9 index was announced in May, and in September it was partially declassified by the Chinese Ministry of Industry, which published photos and some characteristics. The manufacturer himself has so far shown only pictures of prototypes in camouflage.

It is known that the dimensions of the 2024 Xpeng X9 are 5293x1988x1785 mm, the wheelbase is 3160 mm. The three-row salon can be six- or seven-seater. Chinese media call the competitors of this model Li Mega, Zeekr 009 and Denza D9.

The basic front-wheel drive modification of the Xpeng X9 will receive a 320-horsepower electric motor and a lithium-iron-phosphate battery from Eve Energy. The most power version will add a 184-horsepower engine to the rear axle, bringing the total output to about 503 hp.

The four-wheel drive minivan will also get a more expensive nickel-manganese-cobalt battery pack from CALB. It is known that in one of the variants, the novelty will be able to overcome up to 800 kilometers.

At the end of the summer, Xpeng documentation was published, according to which the brand is going to release six new electric vehicles by 2025. The minivan, which is due to enter the market in the fourth quarter of 2023, will be joined by two sedans, two crossovers, and a coupe.
